Design Concept:
The poster for 'Killing Me Softly' unfolds a chilling tableau against the serene backdrop of a park on a wintry night. A loving couple gazes into each other's eyes, the essence of romance palpable. However, the impending darkness is signified by Charlette, concealed dagger in hand, poised to strike her unsuspecting partner in an act of calculated revenge. The Christmas tree in the background bathes the scene in the holiday cheer with the darkness of the plot. A lone deer, an emblem of the unexpected and the wild, watches the unfolding drama in the shadows, foreshadowing the dark comedy that awaits. The poster is a visual cocktail of love, revenge, and the absurdity of the holiday season.

Got a couple in the park as a background, add extra Hue/Saturation to increase the warm color.
Use GenerativeFill to enlarge the picture from portrait to landscape.
The girl’s righthand was originally on the guy’s waist. I erased it and also some lines on the left side of the guy’s jacket so as to clear the space for the knife.
Masked another left of the couple so as to fit in the new hand and knife.
Masked the hand and knife, recolored it and added extra shadow.
Added shining on finger nails (very subtle) of the new hand holding a knife so it syncs well with the real left hand.
Added extra shadow on the knife and at the same time erased some and added extra shining on the knife to make it more pop up.
Masked the tree, added extra shadow to fit in the darkness of the park, and added some highlight to make it look like it is under the lamppost. Blended the color so it fits perfectly with the environment.
Originally, the lamppost was high up, I masked it and moved it down a bit in the Landscape poster but left it in its original position in the portrait one. Blend it with the layer.
Added the deer in the dark on the left. It was originally in black and white, I added an extra color layer to make it real in the dark.
Added the blood drips with wrap and brushes to make it align well with the title.
Added a shadow of a person in the dark. I masked the picture and added an extra edge to it so as to make it glow. I brushed it and added an extra dark green color so as to match well with the environment.
Portrait: No shadow of a person in the portrait version.
